2nd Update - OK, so after contacting the company on this issue, they let me know that this issue with the non fitting screws have been completely fixed. Awesome , great , and fantastic , ADVANTUS! As it is, I do LOVE this stand as its perfect for my lan case ( refer to pictures) . I had to do a lot of " engineering " and improvising on my own to make the screws fit , although the opposite way it was intended to be inserted, but now, I can give 5 stars and feel great about the stand . Thank you Advantus- Vertiflex, and Amazon for taking care of a loyal customer ~!Update*** Ok. Heres the definitive analysis . After my initial review of the issue about the screws not fitting properly (below this review), I racked my brain and used some imagination and MacGuyvere'd the heck out of the problem. I basically reversed the screws and bolts to fix. In other words, you can put the acorn bolts on the OUTSIDE of the shelf instead . Now it must be stated, this was NOT easy to do , as you have to insert and make sure the screws stay flush/steady in the top shelf BEFORE you put the shelf on. Lol, i literally taped the screws on to hold them steady as i guided shelf on, *screws slipped INSIDE of the thin bar going across the posts. WAS NOT EASY, BUT it worked. NOW obviously this isn't the original design- the look of the bolts on the outside (refer to photo) was something i settled for , the sake of function being more important. * last thought- i LOVED the look and size of this stand from the beginning, its perfect for my lan pc case, so yea, i decided to keep it and made it properly functional out of my own time and effort. An easy fix from the manufacturers standpoint... they should give me credit as a designer/ engineer.. wouldve earned 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ without a thought, Instead of 2⭐⭐, due to the frustration, Vertiflex ? *P.S. the reason why some reviewers are complaining about the shelf being too weak, most likely stems directly from this screw and bolt not fitting properly to reinforce the shelf*.........( 1st review)***as my headline states, the bolts attaching and supposedly securing the top shelf of the stand , DO NOT fit~! the bar that sits under the top shelf , are in JUST the right place to block the bolt and screw piece from going together. I just screenshot'd the same picture put up by another customer , as to save time , and found that OBVIOUSLY i wasnt the only person who noticed this. Dissapointment is an understatement, as something so simple in flawed design is keeping me from potentially loving this item , as .. overall it looks and feels perfect for what i needed. COME on Vertiflex/ Advantus Corp. get your **** together~!Firstly, delivered by Amazon Prime about a week ahead of schedule. Kudos...The Vertiflex is very well packed. There is a thick outer corrugated cardboard box, and an inner doublewall corrugated box. Inside of that, the shelves were in another third cardboard box. And there is foam blocking and plastic bags protecting and holding everything inside safely in place.I assembled the Vertiflex it in about 40 minutes. I have limited left hand dexterity and function. I think most people will be able to assemble this unit in 15-20 minutes. There is one sheet of instructions. Tools are included for the assembly. There are bolts that are intended for securing the top shelf to its mounting rails, which I did not use. For me, the bolts were difficult to install. The top shelf will stay in place without them and are only needed if you were to lift the unit by the shelf. The Vertiflex is very sturdily made. I think the 90 lb weight capacity is right in line with its construction. The vertical posts of the Vertiflex stand "proud" of the shelf by a half inch on each side. The dimensions of the top shelf measures: 20½”W x 16⅞”D .I do like the wire rack for the lower shelf. I think this lets dust fall through and not acculmulate. The top shelf is a thin sheet. All the support is along the edges. The center is not supported at all. Something very heavy and concentrated in the center of the shelf might deform it.Magnets stick to every part excepting the plastic caster wheels. So I guess steel is being used throughout.Every part is painted, so rust shouldn't be a problem.I do wish that the casters rolled a bit more smoothly. But since I really don't need to use the mobility feature too often, it's not a really going to be much concern. There wasn't any problem in placing my oversized PC desktop on the top. Eventually there will be USB external drives, external Blu-Ray drive, and a power strip on lower wire rack shelf. The open design of the side panels will allow me to run USB cables and power cables neatly between the pc, drive, power strip. Eventually I may be able to place a UPS on the bottom shelf as well. All in all, a very worthwhile purchase.Ok they could be a tiny bit easier to assemble but the issue in my opinion does not warrant removing a whole star. We have had quite a few of these stands and we love them. They are the perfect height to allow the cables to reach our computer towers and accommodate the height of our standing desks. They are well made except for the one tiny issue. I read the reviews and was concerned about the issue people mentioned with the placement of the holes and screws, however I decided we would be able to sort out a solution once they arrived. Here's a tip.. you don't need any additional hardware. Just flip the shelf upside down and prop the metal shelf part up with something underneath; I used a screw driver. Then apply pressure to the stand with your arm/elbow until you see the holes line up. Or better yet get a helper to put a heavy hand on the shelf, well not too heavy. Hold the nut on inside and then you can start to screw in the bolt. Once you have it going you will be able to remove pressure you are applying on the stand and finish screwing in the screws. One review mentioned putting the nuts on the outside. Well that doesn't work, does it since the whole purpose of those screws and nuts is to hold the top shelf on. If applied this way there is no point to putting the screws on. Once assembled this is a sturdy and well working computer stand. The top metal shelf was bent so severely I had to take a hammer and channel-lock pliers to straighten enough to even get it to fit on the base.I would have sent it back but didn't have time to wait for a replacement. The sturdiness and quality are great but I feel it got damaged in shipping so it needs to be packaged much better.Great for a small officeBought this for my big laser printer. It works great. Only issue I had was the top didn't actually fit right - wasn't even close. I managed to bang it down enough to make it stay but couldn't screw it on. Works fine for my purposes though so I don't care enough to make a big deal about it. Would've given it 5 stars if it wasn't for that. Easy assembly aside from that issue.
