I picked this tv stand bc I liked the asymmetrical look and the size worked for our family room. It took 2 adults w/basic mechanical skills 2 hours to assemble. We used an assortment of philips head screwdrivers and a lightweight hammer to tap in dowels (hammer wasn’t strictly necessary)We read each step in assembly carefully as the instructions were pretty brief and we didn’t want to have to re-do anything. This was a good decision as there were a couple points we were unclear on so taking our time helped a lot.This is a pressboard product but it’s good quality, no chipping splitting etc happened as we assembled the unit.2 pieces were mislabeled, the drawer bottom and one of the backing pieces, I think it was pcs 13 & 17. When we realized there might be a problem we stopped and assembled the drawer, realized parts were indeed mislabeled but it was easy to see they were wrong and once we determined that the rest of it went together nicely. Not a huge problem but I’d suggest carefully checking every part before beginning assembly.Pilot holes were all well done, all parts listed were included and I esp liked how well labeled the parts/screws bags were, made it easy to work with. We laid out the parts bags in number order which was really helpful as we worked. Most of the major pieces had a clear part number sticker on them but a few had an ink stamped part number on the piece, not a problem but it did slow us down for a minute as we wondered if we were misunderstanding anything.I’m happy with this tv stand, like the asymmetrical look and the two tone color scheme looks good in our mishmash family room. Excuse my messy house, I took pics as it is in my family room, mess and all lol.I definitely recommend this tv stand, its was a good value, looks nice and is sturdy.
