This Industrial 54” TV Stand from HOMES: Inside + Out is very sturdy and provides plenty of space for all of our components and gaming systems on the shelves beneath.The stand comes in a large, heavy, flat box and assembly is required. The shelves with wooden tops are pretty heavy but I managed to assemble it myself in about 20 minutes and I am an aging woman without much arm strength. Just read through the instructions once and make sure that you place the shelves with the holes for the middle leg and the X bracing toward the back. The instructions aren't spectacular but they do the job. It includes the small Allen wrench needed for assembly but if you have your own with a ratcheting handle, it will be much easier. In a couple of places, the holes didn't seem to line up properly but by moving the shelf up or down just a bit, they lined up fine. For that reason, I suggest not tightening the bolts completely until you get it all assembled.The top two shelves are wood with a metal base and the lowest shelf is a metal grid. The back is open except for the X bracing at the center back. The metal wheels are strictly a design feature - they do not roll.I really like the openness of this stand because no worries about heat build up from my receiver or cable box or gaming systems and nothing to obstruct the use of our remote controls. It's VERY sturdy and could hold pretty much any size TV. I also like that is is only 15" deep so it doesn't project out much from the wall.It looks exactly as the pictures on the product page and the industrial styling looks great in my 100-year-old, Craftsman style home.
